A bright and chilly November afternoon allowed the children from the school to help with planting various kinds of narcissi and grape hyacinths under the new shrubs and by the trees; and plant up the wooden containers with winter-flowering pansies, lavender and spring bulbs.  A lovely time was had by all and the children really enjoyed being creative and getting a little bit muddy!

Thank you to all who took part – it will be exciting to see a colourful display in a few months’ time!  Here are a few pictures of everyone hard at work, together with some shots of the containers and the young Cornus shrubs – with their brightly coloured stems which will look lovely against the red brick of the Community Hall.
